This 1960s suburban tract home—like many others built at the time—was almost entirely cut off from the back yard. The owners asked for greater connectivity with the outdoors, and a new outdoor kitchen.
To achieve this, two large bi-fold doors were inserted into the family room, creating a seamless transition from inside to outside. A new patio was added to connect the interior with a new outdoor kitchen.
